Before they blocked eBay at work, I would monitor auctions at their end when I
was the high bidder to defend against snipers. If I had been an active bidder
in an auction, I would bid close to the end, up to my $$ limit, and if I got
it, great.
But I would not jump into an auction I'd not been involved in right at the end.
I would jump on something with no bids at all, as no one would get hurt.
Now I'm only monitoring eBay early in the morning from home, which is forcing
me to be more picky about the auctions I involved myself in, and to go straight
to my $$ limit earlier in the process.
I've had a few heartbreaking losses, but that's to be expected.
BTW, Larry - I picked up the SF box yesterday, but I haven't looked inside it.
I'm expecting another couple of large boxes in a couple of weeks - so when are
you heading out here next?
