I was at my local wal-mart looking for a good technic kit, I dont know
why i was looking, the last 20 times i was there there was only
slammers and throwbots.   However, I was taken aback when I saw an
8465 on the bottom shelf.

The box had  the most shelf wear I've ever seen on any box in a store,
it was in taters, but I didn't let that bother me,  I grabbed it up
and began eyeballing it all.   The seal on one side had been opened
and the other side appeared to have been opened too cause there was
wide strip of packing tape on that side that also held down the flip
up lid.  The poly bags seemed to all be there, and un opened. The box
was in such terrible shape, I thought for sure the store woud pay me
to haul it off.!   Surly it had to be marked down on clearance,
atleast 90% off!...    wisked hte box away to the closest register to
see what the going rate of the overly delapidated box would cost me.
$68.xx!  GACK!  the disbelieving fella behind the counter shot me a
look, as if to say "if you are gonna buy this,  I got some crap that I
can sell you, sucker"  I asked him who do I need to see about getting
a bit of a price break?   I found the person that he spoke of, and she
said.  "the best a manager can do is 10% off".  I hung my head in
sorrow.

I suppose the box is still on the shelf there,  I can only hope
someone of power notices that box, and decides to mark it down to 50%
off just as I walk into the lego department.

In general the $15 sets were $11.58 (prices may be slightly off, this is
from memory) $30 sets were 28.58, $20 sets were $18.88(including the blue
tubs), They also carry the soccer expansion set (~$12.50) and the soccer
lighting set (`$9.50). In general all prices were around 5-10% off retail.
