I didn't see it there, I guess that is selection varying by store in action! I
purchased this set in early 1998 for $40 at K-Mart, then disassembled it soon
after and lapsed into my dark age. I still have the instructions (even when
I've lost intstructions from sets I bought this year), so there is a slight
chance that after hours of sorting and searching through my parts bucket I
could possibly restore it. I don't have any immediate plans ot do so, but I
still don't feel like buying it over again.

I don't know if it is discontinued, I just assumed that since it is in the 2000
catalogue, it is still current. I have not known Lego to do mid-year
discontinuing, but it could be. $35 - %30 would make it ring in as $24.50, so
perhaps I could get it for that.

It's also on clearance at Walmart for $25.00. Almost every Ninja set I scanned had clearance (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jul-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)
