I have found that the Fred Meyers that has the mark downs does mark down
sets sooner than the other stores around here. It is a sign to keep you eyes
open at the other stores because mark downs at the other stores will happen
soon.
I have also found that the sets that are marked down can vary greatly from
one store to another. The store that does have markdowns is redoing the
Lego aisle for the new sets. I usually get better deals on sets when they
mark them down first, because they usually put "take and additional 50%"off
stickers on them for the next round of markdowns. This store still had the
countdown corners on the shelf. I am looking for a space simulation set for
my son and a 6083 samurai stronghold.
I'll keep my eyes open for these sets for you. Shopko had the Ninja Knights
on clearance, I will look to see if there are any left. Are their any of
these in Portland?
I was in Corvallis last year at this time and found a Fred Meyer somewhere
between there and the interstate that had a lot of sets for clearance while
the other stores didn't have any. If you are in the area it may be worth a
look
