I heard that if LEGO couldnt guarantee a certain amount of stock level by a
certain date, then Sears has to make the decision to not include them in their
catalog. Im sure many people remember the amount of LEGOs on store shelves
last December running VERY low. Sears may have taken last years Christmas
season events into consideration, regardless of what LEGO promised them for this
year, and skipped putting LEGO in the catalog for fear of supply running dry too
early.
...Or it could be that since K-mart bought Sears, theyre imposing their
marketing strategies on them. ; )
Of course, this is all rumor and speculation, hence the inclusion of the
market.theory group in the thread.
