I was up in my not-so-local Lego Store (Palisades Center Mall) this weekend
and was happy to discover dark red 2x2 bricks in the PAB selection. Being
that I am only able to get to the store a limited number of times a year I
bought a number of cups.

I hope you are the kind of guy (as I am) who binds the bricks together to put
in the cup so as to maximize the piece per brick value...

Unfortunately, I don’t have the patience to do that. Also, on the rare occasion
that I do get to a PAB, it is usually with someone else who is driving. I am
kind of on their clock, so to speak.
But, I do fill up the bottoms of the cups with the smallest useful parts first.
Usually 1x2 tiles or plates or something. I also ask to tape my own cups as I go
(so I don’t have to bother the sales person to do it - yeah). My cups are
stacked quite high.
I am very comfortable with the piece/price ratio I get.
