I spent a couple mornings last week trying to find the best McD's to
stop at for breakfast on the way to work. On the second morning, the
fella behind the counter asked me (with a blank-to-mildly-annoyed
expression) "You're kind of old for a Happy Meal, aren't you?" My
immediate reply was "You're never too old for LEGO." I think I was
more surprised that I had an unrehearsed answer than by the attitude
of the counter guy.
I tried a different place two days later, and found that they keep the
sets in a more visible location (handy for requesting specific sets),
so I guess he was doing me a favor after all.
