Wal-Mart has lost they're collective minds. To make room for the new years Lego
sets they are clearance pricing every older Lego set on the shelves.

This is a partial list of what they have discounted.

$10  65153 Jango Fett's Slave One /w Black Carrying Case
$15   7153 Jango Fett's Slave One
$8    1376 Spider-Man™ Action Studio

$1    7103 Jedi Dual
$1    7113 Tuskan Raid Encounter
$10   7133 Bounty Hunter Pursuit
$4    7139 Ewok Attack
$5    7143 Jedi Starfighter
$10   8012 Super Battle Droid™

$10   4706 Forbidden Corridor
$3    4712 Troll on the Loose
$10   4714 Gringotts™ Bank
$4    4727 Aragog in the Dark Forest
$20   4729 Dumbledore's Office
$8    4733 The Dueling Club
$20   4730 The Chamber of Secrets™

Look in the lawn and garden section of the store. Wal-Mart put all their
discount/clearance toys in there so no one noticed until this weekend when they
put out they Christmas display merchandise. Also check the risers in the entire
toy dept. There is no telling what you may find.

I was lucky to buy all the Slave One sets they had left, but the Spiderman sets
and Bounty Hunter Pursuit sets were nearly gone. I am still scratching my head
trying to figure out why the Slave One with the carrying case was cheaper.

I missed out on most of the Dumbledore's Office but here is the catch, when I
went back this Monday morning I found some on the risers in the Hot
Wheels/Matchbox aisle, scanned the price and blinked because the set scanned for
$1. Yes, I grabbed them all, at least what was left. I also found alot of the
Jedi Starfighter and some Spiderman sets on the risers as well.

Sorry, no buckets. There were plenty of other sets, like the racers/w track and
some Bob the builder. Also some of the Lego Island Extreme Stunts.

So, happy hunting.
Remember to check in the lawn and garden section. All the local Wal-Marts in my
area have merchandised their clearance this way. This is the first time I have
seen them do this, so it wouldn't hurt to check out you Wal-Marts where you
live.

(...) Congrats on the finds ! It should be noted that what you saw (at least the prices) are VERY VERY store dependant. After the first round of clearance pricing (30-ish percent off), each store decides WHEN, WHAT PERCENTAGE and IF there will be (...) (21 years ago, 3-Nov-03, to lugnet.market.shopping)
