I saw the same price at TRU in Gainesville, FL for 3420. Most of the boxes
were pretty beat up and open in some cases, so I figured it was a damaged
goods mark down.

Nor Cal - Bay Area has had them marked down for at least 10 days - they were at that price for the BOGO 50% week sale (and were eligible), which made them about $15 each - good price point for gifts to non-LUGNET / AFOL families. | (...) I also visited one Target store today (S.E. US) and noted a 30% clearance markdown on about 40% of the Lego sku's. Items *not* on clearance at that store were any of the "My Own Train" kits and the two large Harry Potter sets (Hogwarts castle (...) (22 years ago, 25-Dec-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)
