Re: First toy shop visit of my UK trip

Don't remember the name of the store but it is the biggest toy store in the world. 5 or 6 stories. The name that hits in my head is Harolds. It is in London, just ask for the big toy store and any one would be able to help you. This store was great, (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

First toy shop visit of my UK trip

Hi All, Well the Britdog is back in England for a while and this weekend was my first visit to a UK toyshop since getting interested in LEGO again. I was in Toymaster, Harrogate (North Yorkshire) on Saturday. While they didn't have much LEGO (mostly (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Wal Mart Clearance Finds

three cans of soup, a block of cheese and legos

Went in to WalMart to get a few cans of soup and a block of cheese. I ended up spending a little north of $800 on clearance Lego. It all started when I turned the corner and watched the guy halve the aero tube hanger's clearance price. From there it (...) (23 years ago, 2-Feb-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Vision Command $29.99 @KB Toys online

FYI - at least their markdowns are sometimes worthwhile. This was online through what used to be eToys - any KB toys should work. Almost as cheap as the eToys markdowns. There's still the Windows 98 requirement but...... (23 years ago, 2-Feb-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.robotics)

(...) Hmmm... I wonder if catalog codes are geographically linked... My catalog code (Oakland, CA - not too far from Maggie) is also J111 and my 5 bags were the same as Kevin's. All exactly alike. Paul Sinasohn LUGNET #115 (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)
