Re: Please don't solicit people that report sales

(...) I don't see how the Lugnet T&C could "forbid" this, in any event. If, for example, I saw Brad's post and persisted in pestering him about it, Todd wouldn't be the person he should contact. He should contact postmaster@thirteen.net (the entity (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) I would have to agree with you, for my two cents and being one of the newer members. Although, I have been guilty of direct e-Mail to a couple of posts, mostly to gain more information on their location or the idea of sharing 'finds' locally. (...)   Re: Please don't solicit people that report sales

I am willing to post a "please no solicitation" note on future posts. I was not only concerned about myself, but about other people (especially new people) who might be put off by this, especially by some overly agressive folks. A lot of people are (...) (...) Brad, thanks for your previous informative posts! I can see why you wouldn't want solicitations, but I think it is reasonable for people to think that you might be willing to share your finds, unless you stated otherwise in your post. Might (...)   Please don't solicit people that report sales

Hi, I've been hit a few times with people wanting me to pick up sets for deals I found specific to my geographic location. I really prefer not to get such emails and do not wish to do this, even for a significant finders fee. In a few situations, (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Cool Shell 1999 Promo sets now available in US

Almost all Shell stations have those little sets. The 125x (like 1254, 1255, 1256) sets are the hard ones to find (the ones that apparently only are being sold in CA). Has anyone else in the US seen these? doug mulvaney <douglasm@cisunix.unh.edu> (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) I was able to pick up some of the shell sets in Massachussetts, off one of the exits on I-84. They did not even make me buy any gas. I got 2536, 2556, 2537, 2543, 2554, 2539, 2538, 2544, 2541, 2542, 2540. They had a lot of the little sets for (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: (US only) Who didn't go door busting today?

(...) I decided I have way too many Lego sets around, so instead of buying more, I gave away $250 worth of Lego sets (I paid about 1/5 that amount, of course) to local charities. Didn't have to fight the shopping crowds, either. :-) Bruce (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: (US only) Who didn't go door busting today?

I picked up a couple of ninja sets, the big Amazon adventurers set, and the Cyber Challenge technic set for half off. And 40 buckets from etoys as well.
