Re: New S@H Catalog - Pictures

I agree, for $150 you can buy close to 7 basic 1200 blue tubs and build a few of these things. I would have been much more intersted if they had kept the slopes and arches in the set. jt (...) (24 years ago, 6-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

You can probably build one of those things (or a close equivalent) with a few tubs at a third the cost. I would have considered buying something like the prototype, with lots of slopes, but I can't see any reason to buy the production model. I feel (...) Bah. The OV-10 is just an observation plane. You can bet they never sent an OV-10 to fly over the former Soviet Union and take pictures of things they weren't supposed to see. :^D ~M (24 years ago, 6-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

(...) I (...) Okay, I might try that. $9.99 US + shipping, let's see... with tax that's $11.49, with shipping it's $15.49, now in Canadian dollars that would be... $22.15. Well, Track Master costs about that in a store and has 88 parts too, and (...) (24 years ago, 6-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

(...) fix (...) I understand what you mean. (...) I admit that would have been a much cooler Spy Runner for sure. As it is though I like the idea of having a Spy Runner that looks like a stock twin prop-plane. Though I doubt TLC would use it as (...) Tom Stangl put pictures up a while back of the prototype at Kidvention. You can find them here: (URL) Lynch -I hope Tom doesn't mind that I put this link up, I looked it up using Lugnet's new search feature. ----- Original Message ----- From: "SRC" (...) (...) One thing that stands out here...the common US "secret agent" plane right now would be a OV10D, or a MC130 Herk...so, it being piston engined is no big deal. The WW2 eq. was the Lysander, which is a single engined piston plane... It helps that (...) (24 years ago, 6-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

(...) Hmm.. I just don't see it. To me, a secret agent should ooze "cool" and this li'l thing just doesn't, IMO. For reference, go watch the opening sequence of "Octopussy." That li'l plane that Bond zips around in was awesome. (Is that the same (...) (24 years ago, 6-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)
