Re: Lego close-out sale at Tuesday Morning

(...) My bad...make that through November 30th. Don't quote me, but I think that the ad showed Robo Stalker, Treasure Raiders & Showdown Canyon. (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) place. (...) No but still... Take a $10.00 retail price then add 20% mall price to it and you now have a $12.00 set. Then take 33% off of that $12.00 and you have a set whose price has been brought down to $8.04, almost $2.00 below retail. So (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) some (...) There's a very large caveat I would add to Tuesday Morning: their discount is not figured at MSLP, but at what some stores charge. For Lego, we are talking mall stores that charge 10-20% (KB, FAO Schwartz) over list in the first (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Lego close-out sale at Tuesday Morning

Don't get your hopes up. I've been to exactly one Tuesday Morning sale, and the selection was poor but the prices were worse! It seems that they marked everything up to the FAO Schwartz (+10%) levels or higher, before applying the "discount". KL (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Lego close-out sale at Tuesday Morning

According to an advertisement that I received in the mail, the store Tuesday Morning is having a Lego closeout sale from Wednesday, November 17th through Tuesday, December 30th. I believe that the ad said that sets would be discounted from 33% to (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Got mine yesterday. Hurt, too. First truly HUGE shipment I've received in my new office. I used to work in a building where my wife could just pull up in front of my door if we got a huge package, making it easy to bring it out to the car. Now (...)   LEGO Closeout at Tuesday Morning

  Re: Sam's Club Throwbots

This is a little late, but the packaging is a special Lego Box, not a tray with the sets and shinkwrap. The set is described as a Super Set that builds the two big robots. There is no set number for the Super Set. Inside are the 8 regular packaged (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

KB and sales (was Re: $40 Night Lord's Castle)

(...) The two stores I called were both just regular "mall" KB Toys stores and not the ToyWorks stores. Is it possible that they have different sale schedules? (...) Well, John reported 6, I only found 4. I guess someone else grabbed 2. (...) The sign (an the sales paper) says buy one get one 1/2 off for Lego stuff, not just the 6097. I picked up 4 6097's today.
