  Re: eBay searcher?

(...) <snip> If your primarily searching for Lego set numbers, there is a way of overloading the eBay search term to catch multiple set numbers. An example ...   Re: eBay searcher?

(...) Has anyone found anything like this out there? I thought Ebay's "Favourite Searches" option might help, but for that you're limited to twenty-five searches, and can only get e-mail for three of them. I still can't find any way of having some (...) (23 years ago, 21-Aug-01, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: Factoring between US and Brazil ?

Hi Ray, Some possibilities are: - Paypal - Western Union Money Transfer (Banco do Brasil is the local representative) I used both services to send money to the Netherlands (where I'm from) from Brazil.   Re: Factoring between US and Brazil ?

When I was living in Brazil I remember that each bank was charging a different amount to transfer money from another country. Some banks charged up to $50 but after doing some research I was able to avoid the taxes, I found out that Citibank didn't (...) (23 years ago, 15-Aug-01, to lugnet.market.services, lugnet.loc.br)

  BrickBay... yet another hiccup

Between (approx) 1745 and 1805 EDT, BrickBay was unreachable. I got various symptoms of unusability including "The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed." Now I see that the Discussion D/B has been reset back to (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: My worst E-Bay/LEGO Experience-A Story, A Warning

(...) Matt, Wow! You have single-handedly, though perhaps unknowingly, indicted all of capitalism. For the trouble of extending Lego Shop @ Homes reach and advertising, for taking on the risk of selling at a loss, for bringing to market something (...)   Re: My worst E-Bay/LEGO Experience-A Story, A Warning

(...) Actually, such an auction isn't necessarily deceitful of him-- mainly because people in other countries & overseas don't *have* S@H, and thus may not have access to the sets. However, I will admit that doing what he did DOES sound like he was (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: My worst E-Bay/LEGO Experience-A Story, A Warning

(...) I had a similar experience that actually worked out in my favor. Back when the classic train was out, I wanted to buy the classic train kit because I needed the extra track and speed regulator. I saw an auction for the kit on ebay and bid and (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: My worst E-Bay/LEGO Experience-A Story, A Warning

<snip recap of unfortunate ebay transaction> Well, hopefully the Lego packing slip will educate other biddders as to where to find those "rare" and "hard to find" sets that pop up on eBay.(Not a moral either, but maybe a happy ending, kinda.)
