Having an offsite .js file on a custom page gives a "Access Denied" javascript
error. I know of this problem for a long time now and it has to do with
initially opening a page in a frame that is located outside of the
brickbay.com domain and then trying to write a HTML page into the same window
using javascript. Thus for all custom pages, the custom page is actually a
frameset containing 1 frame being the custom page itself. Strangely I am
getting the "access denied" error but am able to browse the shop with no
problem using both Netscape 3.0 and IE 5.0 running on Win 98. Other than
Hardcore lego, Baylit Extra is having the same problem (Yahoo banner):
http://www.brickbay.com/store.asp?p=baylit
Is anyone having a problem with shops containing custom pages but no
embedded .js yahoo stuff? Example:
http://www.brickbay.com/store.asp?p=erector
And is anyone having a problem with shops not containing a custom page?
example:
http://www.brickbay.com/store.asp?p=mnementh
I was toying with the idea for a while to rewrite all shops to be strictly
server-side and no javascript but that would mean slower response time when
browsing each shop and shopping. Someone suggested that they are willing to
sacrifice shopping cart contents to be dumped on leaving each shop / reloading
a page for speed. But if this whole javascript thing is a big problem then
I'd seriously consider making the change. Any thoughts?

Per the discussion board on Brickbay (URL) an offsite Jscript code (anything that ends with .js) (for example Yahoo counter) in your custom page will cause a Javascript (...)
