I'm glad Dave Reade came through for you, but he did not for me and many
others I heard from. He delivered incomplete sets (20% of pieces
missing) advertized as complete, promised extra freebies that he never
delivered, and generally made a habit of promising deals that sounded
too good to be true. He consistently relied on several excuses,
including:
1. He was going through a divorce, and having a hard time.
2. He was in studying how to become a nuclear power plant operator
(which was a scary thought in itself) and was very busy.
3. Packages and payments were getting lost in the mail.
Only when I initiated legal action did Dave Reade deliver a refund.

I would not. Overall, working with Dave Reade and fighting to get my
refund was a hugely depressing experience. It detracted greatly from all
the positive experiences I had on rec.toys.lego.
Personally I am interested in knowing when people have had bad trading
experiences, and with whom. ...Joakim

| In reviewing what's been pending and what's going on, and so forth, I'm starting to realize that I have been getting more and more scatterbrained lately. So if you have something pending with me and it doesn't seem like I've gotten it resolved (...) (26 years ago, 24-Oct-98, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
