  Re: Technic piece wanted.

(...) Of course I can. In fact I could even just rig up a 12V supply myself out of parts. But that would not be Lego. (25 years ago, 14-Jun-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Technic piece wanted.

(...) Maybe you should consider building a working lego electric generator, so you could stop consuming non-lego electricity....:-) There is a 110 V lego trafo by the way. It's set number 742, but I think it's very hard to find a working copy, since (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Technic piece wanted.

(...) Hehe, very funny. :-) I'm not THAT pure. I tend to think that if Lego designed and sourced a power plug, it's OK that the socket the plug plugs into to draw power from the mains is not Lego. Analogous to using the MS CD to load in a Lego IDE (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Technic piece wanted.

Perhaps the test should be whether you can hide the non-lego part, either by having it a long way away from the Lego (like a plug connected by a lead) or by burying it inside your Lego model and surrounding it by bricks so you can't see it. Would (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

(...) No. The true craftsman would know. I'm not a true craftsman but I would know too. The GMLTCers rag on me all the time because I want to get details that the public will not see correct, such as making buildings symmetrical and architectually (...)   Slippery Slope (was Re: Technic piece wanted)

(...) AAh, the slippery slope. First, it's "I *could* rewire the whole house to 220 to avoid using a transformer; this is *merely* a convenience." Then it's "this Tyco block *is* the same color, and I'm sure TLG would get around to making this (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) Does this imply that Larritarians can have other bricks *after* Lego? Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Slippery Slope (was Re: Technic piece wanted)

(...) I think the more significant question, is can they have other bricks *beside* Lego :) James (URL) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Slippery Slope (was Re: Technic piece wanted)

(...) Okay, first off, James, the 7th Commandment forbides "committing Adulegotry";-) Sproat, I'm not sure there *are* any bricks after Lego, unless you are talking about <shudder> Best-Lock [1] [1] The brick of choice by Satan in Hell.
