Nice compilation of thoughts, Eric...:-)
I'm with you for the "protection for buyer" subject especially. I don't
know any good protection rather than the trusty environment that we
created here on Lugnet. I feel myself much more on the safe side when
buying from a long time Lugneter than buying from a mega-power-seller
with zillion of stars in his/her inventory. I always take Lego as a
hobby, not a merchandise, so "friendliness" is the real key for me,
rather than the the rules and some other trivia, which are useless in
most cases, including their very own purposes.
I know ebay is there and it is the power in its area of expertise, and
don't blame anyone for preferring it for his/her personal sales, and I
also know that any seller can find a better value for his/her goods at
there. I just don't like it.
