Hey guys check this out:
I emailed this gay asking where he got them, he said:
"I think I got em from a guy who either works at Lego or his family does....I
dont know which.....that, or he knows someone there.....the only reason I say
promotional is because I've NEVER seen anything like this before.....If Lego
were planning on actually releasing them, they normally advertise them in
their shop at home catalog 6 months or so in advance.....So, I'm thinking
maybe they did some samples or promotions and decided not to mass-produce
them for some reason (cost or other reason)."

So I placed a bid, tied the high bidder at $35 but still lost the auction. He
then writes this to me:
"Hi there.  You were the second highest bidder with your bid of $35.00 for
this auction.  You actually tied the high bidder and lost out because he bid
that amount first.  Let me know if you are willing to buy one or more
identical sets of these knights for your high bid price ($35.00 per identical
set of 5 knights desired+$3.00 shipping to continental US)."

How promotional are these? And how can he get more sets if he thinks he got
them from a guy...?

Um... what auction are you referring to?  I'm assuming it's the one • consisting
of 5 knights with the cool shiny armor & helmets.

Personally, I'm VERY curious myself - the accessories look very nicely done.
I have never seen such items created by TLC, but I'm tempted to believe the
seller when he/she says that they're promotional.

If I was in the area, and the seller was okay with it, I'd love to go over • and
check them out.  Then I might even bid on the auction!

(...) At this point, I'd strongly suspect that this fellow is selling custom painted minifigs. If so, it's a shame he's being disingenuous. He's just going to invite a complaint from the buyer(s) when they realize what they've bought. If he's (...) (24 years ago, 20-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.auction)
