John & Vicki Daniel wrote in message ... (...) This would be a lot more useful if you gave either the URLs of all the auctions, or a URL pointing to the listing of all your auctions. Frank (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: FA (Ebay) Old Space Sets

(...) Hmm, doesn't eBay have a notification service for people who want to find out about LEGO auctions? --Todd (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: FA (Ebay) Old Space Sets

(...) eBay has what they call Personal Shopper, which will tell you if some search term you specify comes up for auction. I can't imagine giving it "lego*" as a search term... you'd be flooded! Only really useful IMHO if you're after a particular (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: FA (Ebay) Old Space Sets

(...) Not sure how useful that would be. I just scan the LEGO auctions every day (of course I'll miss any mis-categorized auction). Of course one could find the referenced auctions by searching, but that's like work... Frank (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

In lugnet.market.auction, Todd Lehman writes: <snip> (...) Am I correct in reading this as disapproval of posting links to eBay auctions in the lugnet.marketplace.auction group?   Re: FA (Ebay) Old Space Sets

(...) No, it's not disapproval, it's a mixture of confusion, dismay, and surprise. Why doesn't eBay make it _easy_ for people to find or follow auctions of a particular type? The fact that people [have to] resort to re-listing things elsewhere is (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

(...) Lugnet == fast eBay == slow Also, for sellers: Lugnet == trusted eBay == unknown I've just signed up a search on the eBay Personal Shopper. Now, I can't figure out how to get back to the service. I hope they plan on sending me e-mail, or I'll (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: FA (Ebay) Old Space Sets

(...) Well, people don't _have to_ re-list things elsewhere... but doing so definitely increases the exposure. I notice a difference when I advertise my auctions on LUGNET and when I don't. I think the thing is that people like different ways of (...) (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Finding LEGO on eBay the easy way (Was Re: FA (Ebay) Old Space Sets)

(...) Actually, it IS easy to find or follow LEGO (or any other) auctions. 1) There is a LEGO category: Top : Toys, Bean Bag Plush : Modern : Lego (URL) You can search for "lego*": (URL) You can search by ANDing keywords: In search box: lego* ice (...) (...) That doesn't sound easy! :-p (...) Was it pretty easy to come up with special targeted searches, or did it take a lot of trial & error? --Todd (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)
