All of John's advice seems very sound to me. I have tried to be cooperative with sellers, but it's true that the onus is on them to show proof of mailing however much they may try to shift that burden onto the buyer with a variety of disclaimers. Frank, Ater many conversations with my local Post Office over the last one and a half years, They have told me over and over: If you pay for an item and do not receive it, You do not have to pay for it. In my last 2 auctions I received at least 5 messages during and after the auctions expressing a sense of relief from bidders saying "I only bid on your item after (...) Roaming around ebay looking for item x, I began wishing that there was an easy way to check and see if the seller is a member or at least a regular poster at Lugnet. (...) Not good, my opinion... (...) This doesn't count. It just means he isn't using a accepted ISP on ebay. If u put in an AOL account it waives the credit-card number information, because you have AOL, and it get's technical from there. Same with (...) (24 years ago, 7-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

I'm in a bit of a quandry. I won an auction several weeks ago from an eBay seller, and have not yet received the package.
