Re: What would a 395 fetch on ebay?

(...) I paid about $150 for my first and about the same for my second copy of 395. If you have the box in good condition, they will go for more. Paul Sinasohn LUGNET # 115 (24 years ago, 1-Nov-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

What would a 395 fetch on ebay?

I have my old set 395 with the box and instructions. To this day, I have never seen anyone else even mention this set, ever. Nor have I seen it on ebay. All the pieces are there, a couple have yellowed slightly, and the box has a few creases. I (...) (24 years ago, 1-Nov-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Monitoring auctions for street value?

(...) Yeah, the mining issue is definitely a touchy one. If it were being done for profit I suppose that the corporations would definitely take exception. I had considered archiving the complete auction page, but decided against it since it would (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Monitoring auctions for street value?

(...) the other thing we ran into was that it was a lot of overhead, finding out if the set was *really* complete, and making sure the auction was for *one* set only, and that it was the correct set. also, we weren't sure if we could even mine that (...)   Re: Monitoring auctions for street value?

(...) yah, it has fallen out of date some, and now I would consider all the data gathered there useless.... esp since we don't know how many auctions we missed. One day, if I find some time, I'll put it on peeron.com, and restart the service. I do (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Monitoring auctions for street value?

(...) I think Dan and Jen Boger are doing something like this (Jen often posts their dat afrom it in answer to questions on here) but it's not (yet?) publicly available. Kevin ---...--- Personal Lego Web page: (URL) Park: Limited edition kit (URL) (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Monitoring auctions for street value?

(...) I'm actually more interested in an electronic form. Having to look up each set every month isn't particularly interesting to me -- I'm thinking of something more real-time, like a stock ticker (albeit a slow-moving stock ticker). :) I also (...)   Re: Monitoring auctions for street value?

Steve Waibel has started a publication called Buy The Brick. This has Lowest and Highest prices that sets have gone for on ebay as well as the Norm. He is planning on publishing it quarterly with monthly updates available. I have found the first (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Monitoring auctions for street value?

I started writing a script this afternoon to pull down recent winning auction prices for various sets and store them in a database. This should help me calculate market value of older sets for insurance purposes, as well as helping to track trends. (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

value of a magenta goblet ?

Are these really rare ? I found two in a flea market baggie I bought today. I didn't even notice them until I was almost back to the car. I was more interested in the Pizza-To-Go (sans truck) that was in the bag. Ray (24 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)
