In lugnet.market.appraisal, Richard Marchetti writes: <SNIP> a whole lot...and very well thought out it was. Richard, my nefarious hidden agenda is simply to try and figure out (no pun intended) what minifigs to keep and which to dump. The beauty of (...)   Re: Minifig values (warning: kinda long post)

(...) A relative ranking might be fun to compile, but you know that it will lead to disagreements across theme lines and because of personal preferences. I'd place Sebulba at the bottom of the list, but then he isn't nearly as ubiquitous as our dear (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Minifig values

Does anyone know of a guide to minifig values - even a relative ranking (Ice Planet and Forest women being the most valuable, Timmy the least) would be helpful. What about accessories? animals? Maybe we could create one, grouped by theme, (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Blacktron 6988 Alpha Centauri Outpost

(...) Most people don't mind about the box as long as the pieces are in good condition. The instructions are available on Brickshelf. So as long as the person isn't a collector of in box sets( I don't get that, you can't even look at the pieces!) (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Blacktron 6988 Alpha Centauri Outpost

I bought a MISB Alpha Centauri Outpost for right around $100 a couple months ago on Ebay, so I would guess $60-$70, since it's opened and without instructions. John (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Blacktron 6988 Alpha Centauri Outpost

(...) Hey, I bought some Explorien pieces from you! Anyway, its MSRP was 79.99(you may have known that) and it almost 10 years old so you could probably get about $100 for it. Nathan Falslev nfalslev@netscape.net Exploria Main Interface (URL) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Blacktron 6988 Alpha Centauri Outpost

Hi. I was wondering if anyone could help with an estimate of value for this set. It is used but in decent condition (nothing broken, a little bit of storage dust, battery box & lights work fine). The problem is I don't have original instructions (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

What makes the sets valuable to a collector is the McDonald's packaging. I'd look (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  1986 McDonalds Promo Sets

I have most of a case of each of two Lego sets from a 1986 McDonald's Happy Meal promotion. Specifically, I have the last two sets in the four-set series. See them here: (URL) quite recently, I was unable to follow eBay with any regularity, and have (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)
