  Re: Fred Meyer 20% off

I couldn't find out on their website but I am 99.9% sure that Fred Meyer is no longer with us. He started the chain in Portland, OR in 1922. _ _ Scott Smallbeck materiel@halcyon.com Steve Bliss wrote in message <36111979.3035163@lu...et.com>... (...) (...) Don't worry then. The club has a full schedule of shows for the fall. I'm sure you can check one of them. Check out or web site for the upcoming show dates. (URL) Member (28 years ago, 1-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Seattleites Unite! :)

(...) But it was a great success. My son is now convinced that he NEEDS a Lego train. That makes arguing with my wife a lot easier. If it's just something I want, I can't get it into the budget. But is 2 out of 4 (maybe even 3 out of 4) want it, (...) (28 years ago, 1-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea, lugnet.trains)

  Q:Puyallup fair lego exhibit

My kids saw the LEGO exhibits at the Hobby Hall at the Puyallup Fair and now that our whole family (almost) is getting into LEGO they want to build an entry for next year. Have any of you ever entered exhibits at the fair or know how you go about (...) (28 years ago, 1-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea)

  Re: Seattleites Unite! :)

(...) It seems like we spent more time picking up trains in the kids' area than anything else. The kids over there loved putting bricks on the tracks to see what would happen... grrrrr! I love kids... in very small numbers. I can handle maybe two (...) (28 years ago, 30-Sep-98, to lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Seattleites Unite! :)

(...) I spend more time there than in line for the truck and inside it. It's incredible what those guys came up with. Did you see the steam engine that Dan made? It used his new larger wheels. Very impressive. It did derail, caused by some kids that (...) (28 years ago, 30-Sep-98, to lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea, lugnet.trains)

Yep, I remember those displays and my wife does also. They were great! Wish we had some more displays around like that. Guess I'm going to have to make my own and show them off at the PNLTC snows. :-) Tom (...) -- Thomas's & Kristin's Home Page (...) (28 years ago, 30-Sep-98, to lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea)

Just an update to my previous post. Today I found the large red Freestyle buckets clearance priced at $12.96-20%. I bet there are more around the area. -- Scott S. materiel@halcyon.com Scott wrote in message ... (...) (28 years ago, 30-Sep-98, to lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea)

  Re: Fred Meyer 20% off

(...) That's kind of odd. Fred Meijer is local to Grand Rapids, MI. Is Fred Meyer (the owner and/or founder of Fred Meyer, I assume) still around? Fred Meijer is, he's in his 70's. Steve (28 years ago, 29-Sep-98, to lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea)

  Does anyone remember?

When I was a kid the downtown Seattle Bon Marche had a (what seemed to me) huge LEGO display up on the top floor. I remember lots of monuments from Washington DC, etc. This is probably 20 years ago (I am now 30). I have just rediscovered LEGO and no (...) (28 years ago, 29-Sep-98, to lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea)

(...) I went on Sunday afternoon. I'm not sure if I took my 9 year old, or if he took me. The line was about an hour though. I made up for it by staying inside for a while. (...) No, but I have to caps now......... Cheers, Wouter (28 years ago, 29-Sep-98, to lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea)

  Fred Meyer 20% off

Just a note here as Fred Meyer is local to the Pacific NW. They are having 20% off of all LEGO through Oct. 3rd. Of course they have a pretty limited selection but one item of interest is the 1201 piece silver bucket, it is marked down to $17.99 - (...) (28 years ago, 29-Sep-98, to lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea)

  Seattleites Unite! :)

Just a note because we might finally, this time, get people posting to this note in the Seattle-WA area :) Did anyone go to the Lego exhibit at SEattle Center last weekend? Sarah (28 years ago, 28-Sep-98, to lugnet.loc.us.wa.sea)
