Here is a list that should help you out. I moved out of Ithaca about 5 years
ago, but I still keep track through various contacts. Here goes
IN ITHACA
-- K-Mart on south end of town (Route 13 past Wegmans & Tops groceries)
-- Ames in Pyramid Mall
-- Creative Kids toy store in Tripphammer Mall -- they carry just about every
set in every theme but only order one case of each set at a time, so some items
are sold out from time to time. This shop does NOT run sales on Lego, but they
have the best selection outside of a Toys R Us
-- Alphabet Soup on Ithaca Commons -- limited selection, if any. Also check
out their satellite store in Pyramid Mall
-- Cat's Pajama's in Dewitt Mall -- few Lego items at all, if any
-- Corner Book Store (just off Commons) -- few Lego items, if any
NEAR ITHACA
-- Ames, K-mart, Wal-mart in Cortland -- these three stores have almost no
Lego, not worth a special trip
ROAD TRIP (South)
-- Toys R Us in Vestal/Big Flats (Rte 13 South to Rte 17 West) just past the
mall. I used to make the trip here once a month to go shopping for Lego
-- K-mart and Wal-mart also in Vestal on Rte 17 -- not very impressive
-- there may be independent toy shops in Corning/Elmira/Vestal area that I am
not aware of. A search through the telephone book may help.
ROAD TRIP (North)
-- 2 Toys R Us in Syracuse area. 1 --> Erie Blvd in Dewitt at the Ames Plaza.
Ames, K-mart nearby and Wal-mart in East Syracuse.
2 --> take a drive up interstate 481 North until you get to the Great Northern
Mall in Clay and you will find the other Toys R Us. These two TRU's move
product pretty fast and you will not find old stock there--just currently
available Lego stuff.
That about does it.

| Hey, thanks a bunch. It will be quite a useful reference for this fall. I hope to keep up with legos in college and not fall into a dark age! -Dave (URL) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.us.ny.syr)

| A few updates: (...) None left. When I started collecting in 1997, I bought a 6285 Black Seas Barracuda and 2 6271 Imperial Flagships there--pretty old stock at the time. They've since stopped selling Lego. (...) Target and Kohl's in Vestal also (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.us.ny.syr)
