Wow, that REALLY makes a difference -- I love it!  (I ride the Green Line
every day to/from work.)

The real thing:

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen that color scheme before.  All the ones I
ride have a black center flexible area.  I was going to snap some pix for
you this past week during lunch but it rained too many days here.  I missed
a really good opportunity on Wednesday or Thursday, BTW, when there were 12
Green Line cars all lined up in a row at BU East they day of the flooding in
Kenmore square.  :-)

The ones with the black diaphragm are the newer units. The units in the
pictures above are the original Boeing LRVs. I haven't noticed the
inside of the newer units (I hadn't really even realized they had got
new units until I started perusing all these web sites). The Boeing LRVs
have a turntable like arrangement between the two halves of the unit.
I've never really paid attention to how the outside works (but I used to
always love standing in the turntable as the train twisted its way
along). I'll have to pay more attention the next time I'm riding (which
isn't very often these days).
