Re: NELUG - Some things we learned while presenting at Mindfest

Nah - If you ever get that crap again, you yell out very loudly "ATTENTION, Everyone! This little boy X says his dad is very important around here, so boy X can touch anything he wants even if you ask him not to! Make sure to let boy X ignore all of (...)   First batch of captioned NELUG Mindfest pic's done.

Well the first batch of Sorted and Captioned Mindfest pic's are done. I have finished the NELUG table page and a People page with Captions so you can finally see who some of these people are. Unfortunately we still are missing a ton of people (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.org.us, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos, lugnet.people, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.starwars)

  NELUG on Rebelscum.com

It looks like thanks to a plug from Kevin Loch the people at rebelscum.com have picked up on our Star Wars setup at Mindfest. (URL) thing that has really supprised me about the NELUG setup at Mindfest is all the attention it and the other Mindfest (...)   NELUG at Mindfest - Signs and Information that would be nice when presenting in public.

Follow-ups sent to lugnet.org This is my third posting as a follow-up to NELUG's first experiance presenting in public at the MIT Mindfest. This post covers signs and information that would be nice to have when presenting in public. The following is (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.org.us, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

  Re: Mindfest thanks

(...) Bram, it was great honor to meet you finally -- I've been a great admirer of your LDraw work for as long as you've been doing it. Seeing those two trucks in person was also quite a mind-filler! :) --Todd (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.people, lugnet.robotics.events, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

  Mindfest thanks

Here's a big thank you to everyone at MindFest for a great time! I wasn't able to attend any of the workshops, but that didn't stop the time from flying. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to talk to everyone I met (sorry, Ralph H. Great talk BTW; (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.people, lugnet.robotics.events, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

(...) Yeah, I'm tempted to agree. If we want to set up a meeting, we should have a specific purpose to the meeting other than just to say "hey, we're here!" Perhaps if we want to set up a grandiose-type event and want their input, we could get a (...)   Re: NELUG - Some things we learned while presenting at Mindfest

Good advice. One of the kids, when asked about why he persisted in touching stuff when I had asked him not to replied: "Well, my dad is very important around here so it's OK" Presumably he was some professor of education... you connect the dots. :-) (...) I think very few AFOLs will have any problem with a 'pay and wait' policy, because we're generally quite used to that in the second hand market. James (...)   More Mindfest Tidbits

This is a listing of a number of things that happened at Mindfest both related to the NELUG table and in general. 1.
