Ooh, so that's what all the recent renovations have been about...

Tell me more about Pick-a-Brick?  I searched Lugnet and found a little
bit of information about it, but I'm still unclear on the concept.  It
looks like it offers hundreds of candy-bins full of Lego pieces and you
can take a quarter-pound's worth for $7?  How many pieces is a
quarter-pound, roughly?  And what's the selection of pieces like -- is
it possible to get lots of basic bricks in rare colors?

(...) Maybe this thread is of use, (URL) was in Legoland Günzburg a month ago, and it was great! Lot's of bricks, plates, transparent plates and bricks, arches and more. I hope it will come to the legostores in Europe as well (soon). Greetz, Saskia (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.fl.orl)

(...) Mark Papenfuss set up a page with info on the California P-a-B: (URL) think they change the line up now and again. Lookin' forward to the Chicago P-a-B :) Julie (21 years ago, 26-Aug-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.fl.orl)
