(...) Brian- Thanks for the news update. I've been wondering when they would start since I plan on visiting in mid April. Hopefully they won't run into any delays. Eric (20 years ago, 26-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.fl.orl)

Downtown Disney Lego Store being renovated

The Lego Imagination Center at Downtown Disney has started renovations. The store itself is now hidden behind privacy walls, and all the signage and figures have been removed from the roof.   Re: Orlando LIC to get a huge pick-a-brick section

(...) This is slightly different than what I have heard (also from an employee of the store.) I heard that temporary move had been delayed along with the renovation. As the clerk noted, they didn't want to be at half size during the holidays. Can (...) (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.loc.us.fl.orl)

Orlando LIC to get a huge pick-a-brick section

Today I dropped by the Lego Imagination Center at Downtown Disney in Orlando, Florida, and struck up a conversation with one of the employees.   Re: Orlando PaB -- Initial Report

I wish there will be PaB's in Europe (please in the Netherlands, too, cause that's where I live). Last month I visited Legoland in Billund, Denmark. There is also a PaB, where you pay by weight. You don't need to spend hours of packing, cause that (...) (21 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.fl.orl)

Re: Orlando PaB -- Initial Report

(...) I considered that, but if you stack your bricks or otherwise arrange them in a generally right-side-up way in the container, they'll trap air bubbles beneath instead of getting filled with water. It still won't be an exact science, but it'll (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.fl.orl)

Re: Orlando PaB -- Initial Report

(...) That might overstate it a bit unless you consider the spaces inside a brick that are too small (say the inside of a brick tube for instance) to take anything they sell "wasted". But it certainly might be interesting to track stats on! ++Lar (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.fl.orl)

Re: Orlando PaB -- Initial Report

Thank you for having posted that summary of the Orlando PaB! I just got back from there, and the selection is a little different from what you saw last week. Specifically, the bin which used to hold 1x2 clear colorless bricks is now empty, and there (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.fl.orl)

Re: Orlando PaB -- Initial Report

The display as well as the containers, seem to be fairly similar to that of LIC Anaheim. However, the selection of some of the special bricks is different. For those of you wondering what LIC Anaheim Pick-A-Brick looks like, these pictures are (...) (21 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.fl.orl, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Orlando PaB -- Initial Report

I have uploaded some pictures of the P-A-B setup to brickshelf. I included pictures of all of the bins in case my color listings were unclear.   Orlando PaB -- Initial Report

I was able to get my first look at the Pick-a-Brick section in Orlando today. (Thanks go out to Frelan Collett for the ride.) My first impression was that it was smaller than I expected.
