  Re: Merchandise

(...) There weren't any at Carlsbad, however, I remember Huw Millington posted that he saw them in stores in England. You may want to try e-mailing a European citizen like Huw, Carbon 60, or Jon D. Hayward and see if they can get you one. Russell (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  RE: Merchandise

Fred, I too was just in Disneyworld and didn't notice any shampoo bottles. While they did have regular kits that you can get through Shop@Home they had the only floor display I have ever seen of trains (tracks and things), Scala, belleville, parts (...)   Merchandise

Greetings. I was checking some of the personal pages of people out there and came upon a Lego Minifig bottle of shampoo. Did anyone see these in Carlsbad?   wanted - old train traction tire

I have aquired a motor and battery box similiar to that in set # 116. I am going to try and recreate the engine and tender from this set.   Re: Self Supporting Pod Racers

(...) I was thinking about that whole pod racer design. I mean, as far as the tan supports . . . if you were going to set up the pod race in some sort of desert diorama set up, they'd work great. They would probably blend right in. As far as just (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jun-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Self Supporting Pod Racers

(...) What would happen if you added more of the flex tubes? Two more tubes, properly fastened, might give enough rigidity to hold up the 'cabin'. -- Terry K -- (25 years ago, 6-Jun-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.starwars)

  Self Supporting Pod Racers

Hi All, Has anyone else built a "real" pod racer where you eliminate the tan 2x plates, bricks, etc. and use black 12 gage solid copper wire to support the control "cabin"? (you also need additional clamps in front) Mark (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Power control for trains...

The X-10 Lamp module controllers can only handle resistive loads, like lightbulbs. Inductive loads (like motors) screw them up royally.
