I'm partial to AZLUG, for Arizona Lego Users Group, but that does sound
really close to "A slug". Which could have an upside in that it provides an
easy mascot to use, but could get the ire of the GardenSLUG.
My other favorite is Desert LUG.
I think just a general get together to say hello, would be a good idea,
though the Brickwars does sound interesting. Maybe very small, like one
land vehicle and some foot soldiers per person type thing. I'll try to read
more of the rules this weekend and next week. I've only just scanned the
first few pages so far.
