Re: Possible Lego Display July 3, 2004

I know it's bad form to reply to your own message, but... (...) Guess I was wrong. July 3rd is permanent-markered in on my calendar with your name. I'll be bringing at least one MOC, I believe. -Mike (21 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.cle, FTX)

Re: Possible Lego Display July 3, 2004

(...) I can supply MOC's, but I can't be there in person. So if you feel confident enough in handling their setup, I can provide you with a few things for the display. I'd think that a couple of my sculptures, like the Pooh Bear would work well. (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.cle)

I'd love to participate in something like this. So far, the holiday is wide open for us. Later, Gino A... (21 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.cle)

Re: Possible Lego Display July 3, 2004

Troy, Finally, a Display near me! :) I can't guarantee anything, but it's possible that I might be able to build something and send it up with someone going by. Chances of attendance are probably a little small, but I'll see what happens. Other than (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.cle)

Possible Lego Display July 3, 2004

I've been asked if I could organize a "Lego Display" for a local festival whose planning committee I am on. The festival runs over the 4th of July weekend, and the display is currently sceduled for Saturday, July 3, 2004. Approximate timeframe would (...)   Re: Possible Lego Display July 3, 2004

Jason, The tent is in the middle of an open grass field. It is FAR from the parking lots. I've been involved with the festival for 5 years now and don't recall ever having an issue with dust. We also have an art exhibit that runs all 5 days of the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

Re: Possible Lego Display July 3, 2004

(...) Something to think about; Dust. NILTC did a Thomas show at the Illinois Rail Museum last year, outside, and had major problems with dust. They were near the parking lot and the grass that people walked on turned to dirt pretty quick. After the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, FTX)

  Re: ChiLUG? When?

(...) I'd love to make a trip to attend a gathering. For me, it would need to be a weekend, and sometime when I can go over to the LEGO store. (never been to a pick-a-brick) BTW, do they have Technic bricks there? Anyway, maybe sometime next week (...) (21 years ago, 13-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.il.chi)

  Re: looking for Ross Crawford

(...) OK, we're at Frank's house and discovered two answering machine messages from Ross. He's OK... He missed his connecting flight. Ross, if you happen to find this message from an Internet terminal at the airport, call 617-953-5206. --Todd (21 years ago, 13-Feb-04, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.loc.us.or.por)

  Re: ChiLUG?

(...) I concur. It's just a short jaunt from the pick-a-brick in Woodfield. We can go pick some bricks with our greasy fingers after lunch! Oh wait, I shouldn't have written that where Tim can read it. :-) Eric (21 years ago, 12-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.il.chi)

  looking for Ross Crawford

Anyone heard from Ross Crawford? He was supposed to get in at ~11:40am this morning. Frank waited for an hour but didn't see him; assumed he took of on the MAX en route to OCC, but we're here now at the OCC and no Ross. 617-953-5206 if any info. (...)   Review and pictures from COLTC's GATS show last weekend

Hello LUGNET members, Last weekend COLTC put on our largest single display (25'x25') at our local GATS in Columbus Ohio. And it turned out great!   Re: 3 Skyscrapers

(...) Thanks. One Nationwide plaza is "only" 148 meters tall, so it is the 6th tallest currently in Columbus. The tallest is the Rhodes Office tower, at 191 meters. This would be around 35 bricks taller than the Huntington is. The plus sude of this (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.loc.us.oh, FTX)
