Tesco - Life on Mars 7314

This may just be my store, but it's worth looking. Tesco have further reduced these sets from 19.99 to 9.99 and now to 7.49UKP. I picked one up and have a look, and it has some quite interesting pieces. The money "saved" was spent on flowers for my (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Wintershill Signal Works

(...) We still have a couple of similar crossings operating in the Melbourne metro, I'll try to get some pics at some stage. There's also a few permanently shut (to road traffic) which were manually operated until they were closed down. The (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Wintershill Signal Works

Nice work Stuart! (...) With crossings the transmission of drive from one side to the other calls for either raising the track level or using a bridge/signal gantry. This looks very tidy. (...) Lattice posts too! (...) My favourite - really liked (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.trains)

  Wintershill Signal Works

The gang at the Wintershill Signal Works have been busy again... (URL) I used to love watching the signalman at my local station as a kid, so I've always wanted to build a proper gated level crossing, worked by a large gate wheel, just as I remember (...)   Re: Train Display in Staffordshire this weekend (1st/2nd Feb)

(...) It's used as a generic term to describe an electronic 'box of tricks' in this case. Mark works in the electronics field so he's ordered or made up a special controller. This is actually a necessity due to the extreme bulk of his models which (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-03, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Privet drive car bumper

(...) I just opened up a Troll on the Loose that was missing the troll's loincloth. Rather than call for a replacement I took the easy way out and gave the troll to my kid. It seems seven-year-old boys don't mind those little oversights. Maggie C. (22 years ago, 1-Feb-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.loc.uk)
