They were selling 1857 last year in The Entertainer.
For just £6 a pack.
That WAS worth buying.

Lego behaves like a monopoly, and hence charges what it likes, knowing
that not only can you not buy a real alternative, but in the UK at
least, have no other source than Lego themselves.
Whilst I love my Lego collection, and love building with bricks, I think
Lego the company has become a greedy corporate giant for whom I have no
love.
As a consequence very little of my disposable income (which is
considerable) goes to Lego way these days.
I may be well off, but that doesn't mean I like being ripped off.
