Episode 1 sets anywhere? (Ha ha ha) —Richard Dee
As in what a funny suggestion, as opposed to finding any any- where. I couldn't remember if the LLW guy said May or June. Went to Tesco and TRU in Hayes, no sign yet. I might be swinging by LLW in the week, so if it is anywhere, that is where it (...) (25 years ago, 5-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

I'm taking the kids to LLW tomorrow (schools closed due to it being used as a polling station), so I'll LYK. I doubt it very much, though. Huw Richard Dee <richard.dee@nospam.virgin.net> wrote in message news:MPG.119aa135507...net.com... (...) (25 years ago, 5-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) Well I phoned LEGO UK asking about the 1886 Starwars bucket and she had never heard of it and so only the 5 originals were available. Anyone else want to try? I think I'm going to write a letter instead. (25 years ago, 5-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Episode 1 sets anywhere? (Ha ha ha) —Paul Mison
(...) I asked in Hamleys yesterday (after they finally noticed me) and they said 'First week of June', which possibly means from about the 20th of May in Lego time. [Bit long, bit off topic] Hamleys does have ridiculously high prices, doesn't it? (...) (25 years ago, 6-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Aha... one of the quite ones (where does everyone live? Paul) Agreement. Hamleys are very pricey... but they do have a huge range. And more important, they have Mark Cambell who is an absolutely brilliant bloke. I haven't been in for a couple of (...) (25 years ago, 6-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) Norwich- live and work. (About 2 minutes from Argos and Bonds- far too tempting...) As to the meet, how easy is LLW by train? (No car). (...) That's what I was referring to- I'm more into Lego than Star Wars, so I didn't get the names right. (...) (25 years ago, 6-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) I do have the means, but I didn't realise Hamleys had such nice displays, and I was in London for work, so I couldn't nab the office digital camera. Usually I don't carry an ordinary one either. Oops. It's not as impressive as the photos I've (...) (25 years ago, 7-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Episode 1 sets anywhere? (Ha ha ha) —Greg Cont
According to Mark there are often people taking photos in Hamleys so take that as a nod of approval. He had previously told me about vaporators etc. but they've not made it into the display cabinet yet. (this is my way of saying that its not as (...) (25 years ago, 8-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Did you catch the bit on the 6 o'clock news tonignt about Episode 1 toys? 18th June was the date quoted by a guy from the Entertainer.
