That's because Walmart owns ASDA now.  Most ASDA stock has Walmart codes on
it.  It also explains why all ASDA staff have to refer to each other as
'colleagues' (or was that 'comrades'? :).  A bright idea from the land of
the law-suit (N.B. numerous cases are still outstanding against Walmart for
stacked stock falling on customers).
Customer notices now say "If you need any help, just ask a colleague" - THEY
ARE NOT MY COLLEAGUES!  I DON'T WORK THERE.  It's like "10 items or less" -
right: 40 loaves of bread, 20 cans of coke, 80 packets of crisps and 15
bottles of Hardy's Special Reserve.  That's 4 items.  Count them.  And it's
"or fewer" not "or less".  Good grief.  Doesn't anyone speak English?  And
don't even mention the war... ;)

Guess what?  I'm still waiting for my eToys.

Jason.

I was once in a cash only "10 items or less" lane.  The guy at the register
was new and looked like Lee Haney, I mean the guy was busting out of his
shirt like the Incredible Hulk.  The woman in front of me had a carriage
full of stuff and wanted to pay half of it with a credit card and the other
half with a check.
