For once the magazine has an interesting article, showing the designing of the SW sets including pictures of some prototypes. The pictures of the 'Model-Team' scale X-Wing, the Star Destroyer (which probably has 10,000 pieces in it) and the (...) (26 years ago, 6-Apr-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) Yeah I thought that was cool, the prototype Snowspeeder, Y-Wing and TIE Darth-Vader look better than the final models. I'll scan this in this week - anyone interested - I think it's cool. (26 years ago, 6-Apr-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) I don't think they look better - some of the Snowspeeders are dreadful, but its interesting to note the use of existing pieces (wing hinges, canopy, tubing etc.) on the early prototypes before the production of new parts. The TIE prototype (...) (26 years ago, 7-Apr-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Our copies were in the post this morning. I chuckled about the paper that the Snowspeeders are standing on - it's the telephone list for the Star Wars team! From their names it's logical to suggest that they're located in Denmark, although I guess (...) (26 years ago, 7-Apr-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
