    Re: COLLECTORS' LOT - C4 - April 27 - 15:30 —Scott Arthur
Wow! I'm glad I watched that, I'd never have believed it otherwise. Very Very impressive. I'm not sure what I expected, but I was pleased. Needless to say, the boat was amazing. His collection was comprehensive (no trains?). Lastly, I was pleased he (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

        Re: COLLECTORS' LOT - C4 - April 27 - 15:30 —Conrad Venn
Didn't see any trains - most of the other models they showed were Technic, and I spotted a Mindstorms robot in one shot. The ship was incredible - was it 300,000 pieces he estimated? That's out of a total collection of 1 million! Puts my 25,000 to (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Like Scott, I was not sure what to expect from the programme, although while the ship was quite impressive, in some ways it had scope for improvement. I felt that the bow would look much smother using plates rather than bricks, but maybe he did not (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) I am (...) Sorting is the problem for me too. I've all but stopped buying bulk used loose Lego from boot sales etc. Normally, I just pick the parts I want and then buy these only. Sellers are normally happy to sell 1% of there collection for (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) I thought it was a *Show* not a Fest? Is anyone making a train layout - the lack of response means it's unlikely. Carbon 60 (25 years ago, 29-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

        Re: COLLECTORS' LOT - C4 - April 27 - 15:30 —Michael Pratt
(...) its a public fest. Does that make it a show ? I could do with knowing what train layouts are coming. Michael Pratt (25 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) Yes. I thought we'd already discussed this: (URL)I could do with knowing what train layouts are coming. So could I - the main problem is tables for it to be displayed. I am intending doing a 12V layout. Carbon 60 (25 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Plenty of tables etc —Michael Pratt
(...) There are plenty of tables. I think the displays can be upstairs and the trade tables down stairs I have a battery train no 120 and some extra blue track which I can set up, but not if space is needed for more exciting things. I am planning a (...) (25 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Plenty of tables etc —Alan Kershaw
(...) How are we going to arrange some form of security for the two different areas ? I will be single handed for most of the day and presumably will need to man (person) the trade/sale stand. Will the public be disuaded from touching the display (...) (25 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Plenty of tables etc —Michael Pratt
(...) Yes of course. We can set up accordingly. I will have plenty of helpers who can be trusted. (Adult helpers !) Michael Pratt (25 years ago, 4-May-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Plenty of tables etc —Michael Pratt
(...) There are 20 tables and another unit which will double as a table. I counted em today. Michael Pratt (25 years ago, 6-May-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)
