I picked up a leaflet for new Lego Robo Riders Competition today. Interestingly the 1st prize is a mountain bike and the second a skateboard. Guess they think no one wants to win Lego then! regards lawrence (24 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) Forgot to say the 3rd prize (1000 of them) is a Robo Riders Sticker Set! The mountain bike and Skateboard do have lego emblems (so might be rare collectors items one day for lego maniacs) but I was puzzled as to why a toy manufacturer would (...) (24 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) The local toy shop has one of the bikes in the window... it's a GT BMX bike. Not sure of the list price but GT stuff isn't too cheap. The bike actually looks quite well done. I assume from the fact that the shop has one for display purposes (...) (24 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Neil, The prize quantities are 10 bikes, 50 skateboards and 1000 'sheet of stickers'. If you have a bike in a local window, that means there are another 9 elsewhere... It also says it is a 'No purchase necessary' competition, but I'm not sure about (...) (24 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) I made the comment before, but I will make it again. Why are they not offering Lego as prizes? If you are promoting lego, and you make lego, why dont you give lego away, unless you have decided that its not attractive! I suppose there are (...) (24 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)
