  Re: MY FOTW (!)

(...) I don't think it is torn. I shall check tonight. (...) Scott A (26 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Technic Shuttle for £4!!

(...) No, not any more than calling you guys "Brits". Jason F. (26 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Technic Shuttle for £4!!

(...) Looks like the game's over. Still a few good prices though. Anyone still looking for the larger "cowboy" Wild West sets would be well advised to pay them a visit. Looks like very similar stock to DYA and Busy Bee (except no trains or pirates). (26 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Crappy Parcel Force service

(...) They did that to me too. I put the 'to' address in big letters on the front, with my address, clearly marked 'from', in much smaller letters in the corner below it. It arrived back a couple of days later. Dimwits. Needless to say I don't put (...) (26 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: MY FOTW (!)

(...) The pictures are taking forever to download, so all I've seen so far is the picture of the box. My guess is that Gary Istok is going to wet his pants :-). I also wouldn't be surprised if he suggests you donate more to the charity. I could see (...) (26 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Offline AFOLs

You are a right. I think very few AFOLs are aware of RTL. Even less know about LUGNet. My auctions on ebay generate a lot of questions which makes a it clear to me that many are not aware of RTL/LUGNet. Additionally, RTL is slowly dying I think... (...) (26 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Offline AFOLs

Folks, I just had this idea while thinking about UKLUG. What about all the people who haven't found lugnet or rtl yet? Given that most of us are in the IT industry one way or another, and are thus more used to this medium, there must be a lot of (...) (26 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  E-mail from the ToyShop

(...) I'm not sure if you are wrong. It broke my heart to see those prices and me not in on it, so I sent them an e-mail asking basically "what's up?" Here is what they wrote: "Thank you for your Email. Please accept our apologies. Our site was (...) (26 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: www.toyshop.com - Were we right or wrong?

(...) Naturally, you have a point. But there are still morality issues at stake too. (...) See my "MY FOTW" thread above. (26 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
