+ Why? The loc.uk newsgroup is great, and searching it can reveal a whole host of useful information. But we are over 1900 messages now in just over a year.. and as I keep posting the signal to noise ratio will decline, and it'll get harder to find (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Goodness! I was only thinking a similar sort of thing the other day! I haven't done any research, or anything, but this all seems like a jolly good idea to me. I was also wondering about starting to use the more local groups as well, now that there (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

I know what you mean ie. - in a proper sense, the Glasgow DK event should maybe have been discussed in loc.uk.sc or even loc.uk.sc.gl But then as it is a touring event, people planning to go to the other ones could have missed the review of it (...) An excellent idea, and one Carbon60 and I have been discussing via e-mail. If you sign up with www.freenetnames.co.uk you get a free .co.uk domain name, as well as web space, so a meaningful name could be chosen. I won't reveal what Simon is (...) (25 years ago, 28-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
