irvine scotland and gatwick airport

I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on lego shopping in the UK. I
am currently in Irvine Scotland and I will have a 3.5 hrs later this week in
Gatwick airport. Is there anywhere within cab reach of Gatwick that I can pick
up some sets that may not be available in the US. Thanks, any advice is
appreciated.

Thanks for advice. The toy store is in the north terminal international departures area. It has a decent selection. The security in Gatwick is fairly tight and the lines are long to get into the international departure areas. Airport security makes (...) (25 years ago, 11-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
