  Re: Trains and Rock Raiders

(...) OK. What about Roboforce? It's definitely Space. There are no ships in any of the RF sets. There is one flyer, in RoboMaster. (I do realize that RR is in the Underground System, not Space. I'm just carrying on for the nitpicking fun of it.) (...) (26 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Trains and Rock Raiders

Steve Bliss wrote in message <37fa0fa4.80913900@l...et.com>... (...) I think the main emphasis is on the fact that there are no spaceships in the Rock Raiders theme. Not one. Not a scrap. All the Rock Raiders sets are underground vehicles or (...) (26 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Toymaster/Toy World

I was speaking to someone at SouthernLF (I'm sorry I forgot who) who hadn't come across this franchised chain of toystores. They usually stock a small range of the larger, older sets. My local store has for example: Saxondale Castle £49.99 The (...) (26 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Surprising pricing

Hiya Today I was looking at someone's Freemans (autumn / winter 99) mail order catalogue. They have a small selection of Lego sets - as is usual with these types of catalogue, the prices are grossly overinflated. Here are the sets they have : Gungan (...) (...) So sets 6821, 452, 493, 886, 889, 6952, 6989 are not part of Space? How very interesting. Steve (26 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: I've just overhauled my Lego Website.

(...) I chuckled when I saw that too. Touché Scott! :) The 'premier' bit wasn't intended as a dig, in fact I had clean forgotten about Scott's site, hence the 'Scotland's only website' bit. (though I admit I half expected to be challenged on that (...) (26 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) or a (...) I must admit Ian's web site did inflence my phrasology... a little. But it was not until I saw Ian's that I realised that Scotland was so underrepresented in this area. BTW, Ian's site is in my link list. (...) Good point, the (...) (26 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Rock Raiders IS a Space theme

(...) Yeah, and space (lowercase 's') can include Star Wars, but sci-fi can't, according to those in the know about the difference between sci-fi and fantasy... B-) <duck> --Todd (26 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.space, lugnet.underground, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Rock Raiders IS a Space theme

(...) Yes; see my other message. But the term "space" is such a catchphrase for lego folks... (26 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.space, lugnet.underground)

On Mon, 4 Oct 1999, Alan Kershaw (<FJ3Hw8.EC2@lugnet.com>) wrote at 20:21:44 (...) Sorry, I meant to post at the weekend, but I've been a bit preoccupied. As expected, there is a three way split of those who can make either date, those who can only (...) (26 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
