According to the Simply Software adverts (which are probably in lots of the bulky computer mags this month, e.g. PC Advisor), they are having demos of the Droid Developer Kit at their store in Forest Road, Walthamstow on Saturday 28th and Sunday (...) (26 years ago, 24-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Yes, the famous chocolate chip "cookie" tins are now on sale. My local one had them reduced, to £1.99. They are cynically advertised at half price, showing as being marked down from 3.99 to 2.99 to 1.99. Considering they never ever sold at 3.99...... (26 years ago, 24-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

I went into Toys R Us in Reading today and they had a display of Droid Developer Kits for £89 each. When I tried to buy one, there was a long search in the warehouse followed by a prompt refund when they couldn't find any! They don't have a display (...)
