The general idea is, you read posts for a while, to get an idea of
what's going on. This is called 'lurking'. Some people do this for
years.
When you think you know what the crack is, you 'delurk'. ie. you start
posting. The above form is a good way of delurking, because it
introduces you to the other readers of the group.

Absolutely! Anyone can post anywhere here on Lugnet. There are people
from Oz who post in loc.uk. If there's info which is location specific,
you should probably post it to both groups, if you're normally going to
post here. Just in case there are others reading loc.ie.
Todd might have views on this as well...
