Just went into TRU cardiff, and it had the most miserable selection ever. Looks like they have been filling their shelves with dross overstock, hopefully in preperation for new stuff, but It looked like they were cutting down on the shelf space. (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Toys 'R' Us in Portsmouth have some 2002 models. They've got all the new pull-back-and-go Racers (small ones with block-body figs 4582 and 4583, two each in 4594 and 4593, some larger monster-truck and F1 sizes with whole minifigs 4584 and 4585, and (...) Here's my ISCC entry for the trains category - I thought some others might be interested in the buildings too: (URL) the use of SNOT on the engine to get all the lines and handrails. Brendan Powell Smith's site made it in to the IoS (mainstream UK newspaper) on the 23rd. The main picture was his version of the "Birth of Christ".
