LEGOWORLD 2002 (Was: Croydon Lego convention)

(...) I'm not an official speaker for the event, because for this edition I'm not a member of the organising committee (I was organiser of the train layout in 2001) But I can pass a few things that has been published (in Dutch) already. Just like (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jul-02, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.loc.eu)

Re: loc.eu Curator (was Re: Proposed European events calendar)

(...) I agree, In Europe we usally skip to English when we have cross border treads on Lugnet. It is, certainly for the post war generation, the most universal langue that people know here. I've noticed that some german AFOL's monitor the news on (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jul-02, to lugnet.loc.eu)

Re: loc.eu Curator (was Re: Proposed European events calendar)

(...) I don't think he/she has to be bilingual, since practically everyone uses English as the standard language here (Lugnet). If the need to make posts in other languages arises, then I'm sure *someone* can help the curator translating. (I know I (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jul-02, to lugnet.loc.eu)

  Re: Croydon Lego convention

Since you are unable to attend on the 12th October in Croydon, how about if I travel over for Legoworld? I don't drive, so I'd be unable to bring along any of my large models, but I'm sure I'll be able to fit a few things in a rucksack. Please let (...)   loc.eu Curator (was Re: Proposed European events calendar)

(...) Do you think the curator should be bilingual? In what languages would it help. It seems to me that the Germans have their own community outside Lugnet and the big posters to Lugnet are the Italians, the British and the Dutch, but the Italians (...)   Proposed European events callender (Was: Croydon Lego convention)

(...) This would make a curator for the local.eu posting group necessary. She or he should also be made temporally curator of national groups that don't have a curator yet, in order to set up the links. Currently, only Denmark, France and the U.K. (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jul-02, to lugnet.loc.eu)

  Re: Croydon Lego convention

(...) My suggestion for the calendar's placement would go to .loc.eu, with a link in all european .loc groups (purely because .eu has little movement of its own) As for the method, what about a "fill-in form", located in .eu, where whomever wishing (...)
