Allan,
I didn't find that as odd as the extra decals left over after assembly. I
checked the instructions and they don't show placement of five decals - 3 NASA
logos and 2 US flags, but some pictures in among the literature show the NASA
decals on the Saturn V rocket instead of the United States ones, and an actual
NASA picture shows a US flag on the lower part of the Saturn V. Two of the
decals are on a beige background so maybe they are for the LM but I couldn't see
any pictures with them included. Maybe they have done this to allow people to
customize their models to reflect subtle differences in Apollo missions.

| (...) I wasn't really thinking of the decals (there are other issues with those) so much as just the name of the set itself. You said the key word in your last sentence... 'Apollo'. This is really an Apollo mission set. The Saturn V is just once (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)
