Re: Gauging interest in The Hobby Show 2004 - Toronto, ON

(...) Hello Janey, That's a good question. Last year that was probably the most common question I got. And the answer is 'no' you don't have to commit to all three days. In fact, for the 2003 show, we had people who attended for just about every (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.events, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

Gauging interest in The Hobby Show 2004 - Toronto, ON

The Hobby Show in Toronto is just about 6 months away. This post is intended to gauge the level of interest that people have in putting on a booth at this year's show. As a reminder, the Can-Brick Builders attended last year's show (Nov 2003) and (...)   Re: ParLUGment May Meeting

Well, we had a record breaking turn-out for our May meeting. 14 people showed up, and that was without 2 regulars. We went around the circle to introduce ourselves and our favourite themes, so the new attendees were Deborah (architecture), Shirley (...) (...) RTLToronto and others- Sorry up front for the cross-post, but I wanted to get this to the .loc and .orgs in the area... I just stopped in a lunch and Marek let me peek at his layout. It is about 13m x 6m (about 42 x 20 ft), has several bridges (...) (20 years ago, 4-May-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.us.ny.buf, lugnet.loc.ca.on.ham)

  Re: Dear LEGO...

Have to agree with getting more Pick a brick stores, you have one in Windsor, down in the south of england, there should be one up north, say Manchester, so i can get the bits i need without resorting to bricklink :D (20 years ago, 30-Apr-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.loc.ca.on.ott, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Dear LEGO...

(...) I totally agree. The only other store west of Minnesota not in California is in Colorado. BC has just under a half million people less than Colorado. Plus we don't have any small chain toy stores. I would think this is one of the lest (...) (20 years ago, 30-Apr-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.ca)

  History

Don't know how I got the idea, but I was browsing LUGNET and got the idea to look up who were the oldest posters on LUGNET from ParLUGment. Interesting stuff. Here's their first posts to LUGNET, first posts to .ott, and rec.toys.lego/alt.toys.lego (...) (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, lugnet.loc.ca.on.ott)

  Zellers asnd TRU small sales

Zellers ran a one page ad in one of the Halifax papers yesterday having a BOGO half off sale on all LEGO Thursday and Friday (April 29th and 30th) only. The sale is probably nation-wide, but I'm not positive as it wasn't in their normal flyer. TRU (...) (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)
