Everyone coming to the Nation meet in Brisbane, please READ the following it
applies to all who are coming. (Print if you wish)
G'day Boys and Girls and yes that includes us *ahem* adults!
*stands on soap box* <--- please don't make me do this on the day ;)
After much stress and agonization of searching the net, being put on hold
and diverted, mobile phoning around and scrounging the yellow pages day
after day, WE FINALLY HAVE A VENUE!
I'd like to announce in this issue that some arrangements/ideas/decisions
have been made/planned :) I hope they are to everyone's satisfaction... I
have tried my best! And many many thanks to my trusty friend, Kerry the
Geek Grrl.

Where? - Indooroopilly Hotel (across from Indooroopilly Station)
Time? - Approx 11am - 6ish (both days)
Dates? - June, 8th (Saturday) and 9th (Sunday) 10th is leisure day…for
anyone who wishes to meet etc, TBA…
Cost? - Whatever it costs to get there (transport) and any money you wish
to bring for food/drinks (lunch dinner) & spending money etc
Everyone is welcome, but please try to email me so I can get a good idea of
numbers and to confirm who is coming and which dates/days you will be
showing up and for how long (to plan the days better) also who you are
bringing and if any children are coming with you. When you email me I will
also give you my Mobile Phone Number so you have contact with me just in
case (turning up late/lost/directions etc). I will supply maps/directions
etc to anyone who requires them.

VENUE/AREA
Ok, first up - The venue will be... INDOOROOPILLY HOTEL. This is a great
location (we are double checking it on Saturday to make sure it definitely
fits our requirements) - the great thing about this so far is that it's FREE
OF CHARGE!!! how cool is that! But it would be appreciated if we bought
some drinks/food etc... in return from them (saves hire fee's too!).
With the Hotel, all younger children must be have parents with them at all
times, this is a licensed area/place and children are welcome as long as
their Parents take full responsibility for them.

SHOPPING
I.Hotel - This is across from Indooroopilly Station, 2 mins up the road is
Indooroopilly Shopping Centre which boasts three large levels (Target, Myer,
K-Mart selling LEGO only) and also buses arrive/depart to/from a wide
variety of destinations.
Two stations up is Toowong S.C. which the Shopping Centre is partially on
top of the Station (three levels too but way smaller) and has David Jones
and K-Mart as sellers of LEGO.
Brisbane City itself is several stations away, which Myer, Target, David
Jones, Toy World x2 carry LEGO.
So at this point, there is some shopping to do (Sunday the City is only
open) if anyone wants to go and venture about... and they are all on the
same train line :)

FOOD/DRINKS
The food places around our venue are:
Cold Rock - Ice creams etc
Red Rooster - across from Hotel
A few cafes/restaurants up/across from the hotel
Indooroopilly Hotel itself...
McDonalds - inside SC and open on Sundays?
McDonalds restaurant is further up away from SC
Hungry Jacks - inside SC
Pizza Hut - inside SC
Uncle Tony’s Kebabs - inside SC
KFC - inside SC and restaurant away but across from SC
and a few other places selling various other foods...

DINNER
Like I have said in a previous post, we can try the treasury casino buffet
restaurant which is nice (was last time I went), if this is agreed by
everyone else. If we catch the train, we can get it cheaper (ride and dine
deal) and it saves in parking fee's... doesn't bother me... just making
suggestions. Or there is more expensive places in the Indooroopilly S.C or
there is the Indooroopilly Hotel itself.
Saturday or Sunday or both? I guess we may have to wait till the actual day
to sort that one out...

SHOP @ HOME/PAYMENTS AND ORDERING
Ok... we have worked it out as much as we could possibly stretch it
(deadlines etc). TUESDAY the 28th of May WILL be the DEADLINE for any
orders and payments!
I will be placing the order on Tuesday after work. From previous experience
(not my own), we are hoping that gives us enough time for the order to
arrive before our actual meet. If not, we can discuss and arrange this to
be sent to you to your nominated address. Please do not order if this isn't
good enough for you as we cannot Guarantee that this will arrive on time, we
can only hope and cross fingers. At this stage, please allow $10 for
delivery, if this amount is less we will allocate the difference to those
who ordered, unless you wish to donate it to us BUGS ;) - if it happens to
be more due to low numbers, we can sort that out on the day(s).
Please make sure your payment matches your order/delivery fee's as I do not
have the spare cash to cover for anyone's late payment... sorry if I wasn't
building a house it wouldn't be such an issue. I can accept payments, via
Money Order, direct debiting, Cash, - no paypal though sorry as I won't have
the time to change it over and it gets quite expensive with fee's/waiting
time and change over. Basically anything that the money can be accessed
right away as this will be on a VISA/Debit Card - sorry for any
inconvenience caused, if someone else wishes to carry the payments etc on
their Credit Card, go for it! :)
Everyone is welcome to placing an order as long as you follow the above
rules. I will not be responsible for any missing money sent to me, I'm very
honest with this and you will get only what you pay for, unless S@H decide
otherwise... Order will be sent to Kerry's house anyway and I will be
printing a list of everything people have order to check off with the Order
once it arrives.
Please send your order with your money unless I know you well enough to take
your word that it is arriving before the due date, any money/orders arriving
late will be re-sent back to you... sorry! - I know this is terribly late
notice, my apologies. I will send an email to those who's money arrived on
time and what ended up being ordered.
Kerry has kindly nominated herself to have the delivery be sent to her house
(She lives a lot closer to Indooroopilly Hotel than I do, and has a car ;))

OTHER
BRING YA COATS AND JACKETS! especially if we are going out or still hanging
around at night... at the moment it has been flamin' freezing (brrrr cold
winds)... and please don't bring any colder weather/rain with you ;)
Don't forget ya camera's/stuff for trade/projects you are
bringing/showing/displaying/BrickWaring... and all ya other personal
belongings :)

with accommodation information or anything else, contact us and we will help
you with what we can. - I strongly encourage everyone as to ordering and
attending, to email me to confirm even if have done so already - especially
after reading this update. ie.. 'Yes I will be attending both Sat/Sun, I am
bringing sally-jane with me. No, I will not be placing an order'
